Michael Massie’s years of broad experience in all facets of residential development, affordable housing, and real estate finance have been developed across a changing real estate landscape. As the Chief Housing Development Officer, he oversees housing development, construction, as well as business development and acquisitions for Jamboree. Michael’s focus on the development and finance of all housing types has led him across a broad and changing real estate industry.
Michael began at Jamboree in 2005 Senior Project Manager before becoming Director of Housing Development. To diversify his experience and knowledge, Michael pursued executive opportunities with The Picerne Group and Related California from 2014 to 2017. At The Picerne Group, he oversaw the development of the company’s multifamily projects throughout Southern California and was a member of the executive committee. At Related California, he was vice president responsible for the company’s affordable housing developments in San Diego and Los Angeles counties.
With his return to Jamboree in 2017, Michael manages a dynamic staff team that has developed, financed, and built more than 5,000 units of affordable housing throughout California. He concentrated in real estate and finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
