Laura Archuleta, PresidentLaura's commitment to affordable housing spans nearly 20 years. She joined Jamboree in 1999 as an Assistant Director before assuming the responsibilities of President in 2001, and has held positions in the public sector – including the cities of Garden Grove, Anaheim, Cypress, and Palmdale – as an advocate for the development and preservation of affordable homes throughout California. Laura is an active member of the California Redevelopment Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Marcy V. Torres, Executive Vice President/CFO Prior to joining Jamboree in 2001 as Director of Finance, Marcy was Assistant Asset Manager and Financial Analyst for Western National Properties and served as Controller and Treasurer for Oak Springs, Inc., a real estate investment firm. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration Accounting from California State University Fullerton and earned her Certified Public Accountant's license while working at the international CPA firm Ernst & Young.
Mary Jo Goelzer, Chief Operations OfficerWith nearly 20 years at Newport Pacific Capital Company, a national real estate development firm, Mary Jo served as Vice President in several areas including marketing, public and private syndication, mortgage instrument programs, portfolio management, financing, and association management. She was also Director of Investor Services at American Diversified Corporation. Mary Jo joined Jamboree in 2001 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Washington. Michael Massie, Housing Development DirectorBefore joining Jamboree in 2005, Michael served as Assistant Vice President with Related Capital Company, specializing in the acquisition of Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties for syndication. He’s also managed rehabilitated properties in Chicago and Philadelphia and worked with the property management division of Michaels Development Company. Michael graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and concentrations in Real Estate and Finance. Scott Darrell, Resident Services Director for Housing with HEART
While teaching social policy at USC’s School of Social Work, Darrell also consults with nonprofit community organizations. His experience includes serving as Founding Executive Director of The Kennedy Commission, a nonprofit advocate of affordable housing for low-income families, and Vice President of the nonprofit LINC Housing Corporation, managing asset and property management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree in Community Planning.
Karen Hammond, Human Resources Manager Karen joined Jamboree in 2006 to manage the growing area of human resources. Prior to this role Karen was a HR Consultant, and headed up Human Resources for a software development Company, FieldCentrix, and a division of Deutsche Bank. Karen has her Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University and her Human Resources Management Certificate from University of California, Irvine.
