Classrooms Without Walls - Pilot Program

Affordable Housing and Public School Share Common Space to Increase Literacy

Jamboree’s new affordable housing community in Buena Park partners with local public school for a pilot program that provides shared space and Internet access to support literacy

We’re proud to partner with the Buena Park School District to support their “Classrooms Without Walls” initiative, a plan to provide students with iPads and access to online educational materials.

Clark Commons, our 70-unit affordable apartment community currently in development, is just across the street from Mabel L. Pendleton Elementary School. As part of our expanding vision to provide programs with measurable community impact, we’ll share meeting spaces with Internet access in support of the district initiative. Jamboree is the first developer active in Buena Park to assist in implementing the pilot program.

Buena Park School District Superintendent Greg Magnuson said, “The timing of Jamboree’s outreach efforts to implement this initiative with us, especially as this early stage, could not be better. We appreciate Jamboree’s engagement with the school district and Mabel L. Pendleton Elementary School and we look forward to working together to advance this pioneering learning experience.”
