Partnership, acq/rehab preserves workforce in Riverside

Summer Field is Jamboree’s first community in the City of Indio and the fifth joint venture project with Community Preservation Partners, the development arm of WNC & Associates

The substantial renovation of the 266-unit property, with unit sizes ranging from one to five bedrooms, includes the addition of unit dishwashers and microwaves as well as an exterior overhaul of the playground equipment and picnic area. Added community amenities now include a business center, surveillance and a new limited-access gate. Summer Field residents can participate in Jamboree’s onsite services.

Located just off the 10 freeway and SR 111 in the heart of the Coachella Valley, Summer Field is near multiple entertainment, employment and recreational centers such as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Residents are within walking distance to parks and schools. The workforce community is just 30 minutes from Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park.

Summer Field was at risk of losing its affordability and becoming a market-rate rental, making it eligible for resyndication and refinancing. The joint venture acquisition ensures long-term affordability for the community. Jamboree will continue to partner with the City, investors, property management and partners to guarantee that Summer Field remains both affordable and high quality to provide workforce families with an opportunity to thrive.
