Hillcrest garden-style affordable apartment homes is a mixed-income property for families in Fontana, CA. Jamboree acquired and rehabilitated Hillcrest in 2001 in a joint venture with Southern California Housing and Resource Development LLC. The renovation was part of a City of Fontana initiative to reduce crime in this previously, severely blighted area.

Jamboree joined the City’s Crime Free Multi-Housing Program – a coalition of law enforcement, business owners/managers and residents – and took part in the successful efforts to turn the neighborhood around and make it a safe, secure, livable place where workforce families can feel secure and enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Jamboree’s Community Impact Group hosts community events as well as after-school tutoring, art, and exercise classes for children, and job training for adults. Hillcrest is an example of the ways that Jamboree works with local government and other partners to transform high-crime areas into safe and secure communities with involved residents. Jamboree is committed to keeping this property affordable and well maintained for years to come. Hillcrest is one of five Jamboree properties in the City of Fontana.
