Renovated Affordable Housing Community Covina, CA

Acq/rehab by long-term partnership transforms apartments

Jamboree acquired/renovated Cienega Garden in a joint venture with Preservation Partners Development. Jamboree and Preservation Partners Development have worked together since 2000 to successfully develop 10 family communities that provide long-term, well-designed housing to workforce families. Preservation Partners Management Group, Inc. provides onsite management services at each property.

Raising the standards of the community and maintaining long-term affordability for residents were the main goals of the acquisition/rehabilitation of Cienega Garden. Residents were temporarily relocated during the renovation.

The renovation helped Cienega Garden to meet the architectural standards of the surrounding upper-middle income Charter Oak neighborhood of Covina. In this neighborhood, the vacancy rate is extremely low given the high demand for housing that is affordable. Cienega Garden meets this need for quality workforce housing for families in Los Angeles County.
