Kerry Vandell has served on Jamboree’s advisory board since 2010. He is a Dean’s Professor of Finance at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. He acts as the area head of the Merage school’s new academic focus in real estate and Director of its new Center for Real Estate. Kerry taught previously at the University of Madison-Wisconsin, Harvard University, the University of California, Berkeley, and Southern Methodist University.
Kerry has researched and consulted widely in the areas of real estate investment, urban/real estate/environmental economics, mortgage finance, housing economics and policy, and valuation theory, and has written or co-authored more than 80 papers. Prior to obtaining his doctorate degree from MIT at the MIT-Harvard Joint Center for Urban Studies, Kerry received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering at Rice University, and a master’s in city and regional planning at Harvard University.
