Advisory Board

Members of the Advisory Board individually and as a group actively support and promote Jamboree and advocate for its mission. Members participate and play key roles in several Committees including but not limited to; Fundraising, Resident Services and Business Development. In addition, Advisory Board Members participate in Jamboree events including anniversary celebrations, project ground breakings and grand openings.

Mr. Deering is a Certified Public Accountant and the former Managing Director of Taxation for CBIZ of Orange County, a publicly traded NYSE company. He is a director for an orange County based child guidance center and is currently the financial secretary for a church in Dana Point.

Lucy Dunn is President and CEO of the Orange County Business Council. Previously, Ms. Dunn was Director of the California Dept. of Housing & Community Development.

Ms. Thalman is the Chief Executive Officer of a major home building trade association. She oversees all aspects of a very active educational organization with more than 900 member companies, representing over 100,000 employees in the Orange County homebuilding industry.

Dr. Vandell holds a PhD in Urban Studies and Planning, and is the Deans Professor of Finance and Director, Center for Real Estate at the University of California.

Wilfred N. Cooper, Sr., is the founder, Chairman of the Board of a national tax credit investment company whose core business is sponsoring investments in affordable housing. This company oversees over 925 properties representing 45,000 affordable rental housing units.


Ronak Desai

Ms. Desai is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in California. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of CPAs. She specializes in audits of not-for-profit entities and governmental agencies.

Robin Woods is Vice President in Commercial Banking, Deposit & Payment Solutions for a large national bank, and has been with the organization for over 13 years. Ms. Woods has been involved in many philanthropic organizations such as United Cerebral Palsy, and is the Past President of Soroptimist International of the Conejo.

Sandra Denisac is Vice President of an insurance company and holds a professional designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Sandra proudly served on the Board of Directors for HOMES, Inc. for eight years.

Howard Zelefsky is Vice President of a real estate company and was Director of Planning for the City of Huntington Beach. Mr. Zelefsky holds a Graduate degree in Urban Planning from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Brooklyn College.

Jeff Fisher is the Manager of a nonprofit services department for a major accounting firm and has over six years of auditing experience. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University Chico where he graduated in December of 2002.

David Wood is the co-founder of Stratus Development, he previously served as Managing Director at the Irvine-based Landmark Equity Partners, LLC, overseeing residential development projects and participating in equity fundraising. He has also served as Development Partner at Western National Properties, Development Director at BRE Properties and Associate for Easdil Realty. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas Austin.
